This summer I learned the alto saxophone and the ukulele. The ukulele was hard to learn because I had never played an instrument like it before. The alto saxophone was easy because I also play the clarinet so I was familiar with reed instruments. I changed me because it exposed me to more music and that is what I love to do.

I learned a new game. Its called "King of the Raft." The game is played in the water. My friends and I like to go swimming in gravel lake, a friend of my moms lives on the lake and they have a little floating raft about fifty feet off the beach of the lake. the game requires more then three people. All the players stand on the raft, the goal is to get all the other players off the raft. If the goal is completed, you are officially the king of the raft.

This summer I learned how to make the more sensible decision. I have competed in dance for many years, but now our family is having different thoughts about competing in Chicago twice. So we have decided to not compete until there are more auditions later in the year. I have learned more and more how to make my own decisions and not have them made for me. I have thought of my life more grown up and I feel like I have matured more as a person.

Something I did this summer that I've never done before was go to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. I think it really changed me as a person and a musician because it taught me how to get stuff done, while having fun at the same time.
