Famous Authors in Kalamazoo! Visit Kalamazoo Public Library's website to find when famous writers will be speaking at the library. You'll not only find author visits, but other events designed for young people (which you may also attend for extra credit). At the author events, you'll learn what inspired these writers and understand how they work. You'll even be able to ask questions and get a book autographed! Take a selfie with the author, and either write an essay or tell the class about what you learned for credit:)
"The Lottery" Extension Activity. Read a STRANGE but CLASSIC short story, along with an accompanying article. Then, do some heavy thinking about what you've read and share your thoughts in writing. Good opportunity to read a complex story, use cross-text analysis, think about how authors make allusions, and support your insights with text evidence.

When you find one, log it in and make the correction on this google doc. Hand it in for 10 points when you've found and corrected 10 errors!
